What is Offered
I offer psychotherapy and counselling for adults*, either face-to-face or through a blend of in-person and telephone sessions if required. Some of the issues and challenges with which I help are listed on the next page.
I provide Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services for companies and organisations. Having previously worked in HR management, I understand how personal and emotional challenges can affect both individual wellbeing and workplace productivity. I offer confidential, professional support designed to promote staff wellbeing and organisational health, and am conversant with Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, a practical and effective approach often preferred in EAP settings.

The approach
I facilitate individuals to be able to explore their thoughts, feelings, and life experiences in a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space, and help them where help is needed. I believe every person is unique, their difficulties often having roots in several factors, and that therapy should reflect this.
Rather than adhering to one particular theory or technique, I use an eclectic, person-centred approach that draws from a range of psychological perspectives. These include components of compassion-focused therapy, IFS, psychosynthesis, coaching, elements of Buddhism and other modalities. This flexible, holistic approach allows each session to be tailored to your wants and your needs. Proceeding at YOUR pace, and care, compassion and confidentiality are at the heart of my values and underpin my work.
My aim is to help develop greater self-understanding, resilience, and fulfilment - whether in the short-term focused on a specific issue, or longer-term therapy for buried wounds, or something in-between.
The location
Private practice: We sit in my private consultation space in South Derbyshire, within the catchment area of Derby (2 miles), Belper (11 miles), Ilkeston (8 miles), Castle Donington (9 miles), Mickleover (8 miles) Kedleston (9 miles). In North Wiltshire I use an office in Royal Wootton Bassett, within easy reach of Chippenham, Malmesbury, Swindon, Marlborough.
EAP for corporate clients: The same, or in your own or rented premises.
The price
Fees range from £30 to £60 per session depending upon several factors - price list available.
